A long time coming, a long time in the making, and finally here! AIBM is proud to share the first taste of its entirely European Union focused content with a show suggestively named “The Drop”.. About the Video
The video is essentially a “call to subscribe” to the YouTube chanel for people who are interested in Europe, and more importantly.. interested in developing a shared sense of what Europe- and being European.. is all about.
Topics covered:
– Deliberately undercooked, yet perfectly edible, motive for Europeans to develop a European identity. – List of half-disengenuous, yet per chance humorous, “how to” instructions on developing a European perspective. In case you missed it, the answer is “just hit the subscribe button , we got this”
– Demonstration of dated Yugoslavian language mastery. This is somewhat contentious as the language is officially called Serbo-Croatian. This however is incorrect as the language is spoken by other nationals as well. Saying “Yugoslavian” is also insensitive. Some people detest the very word Yugoslavia due to serious trauma inflicted upon them by the Yugoslavian government, or during the Yugoslav war. As I’m myself a warchild of the Yugoslavian war, and somewhat deformed by the experience, I use “Yugoslavian” as a test of reason vs pride and pain. On one hand I don’t want to hurt anyone, on the other, if we don’t look our past in the eye and work to unburden ourselves of it, we’ll keep dragging it along as baggage for longer than necessary.
– Demonstration of plain Dutch language use and why labeling anyone by their ethnic heritage is ambiguous at the very least.
– Bit of broken Frisian, just for fun.
– A report of the Macedonian-Greek name dispute and a fictional status quo on Earth’s prospect of joining “Starfleet Federation”, a Star Trek based federation of planets which Earth might join some day.

About “The Drop”
The name of the show is based on the understanding that everything, no matter how big-small-strange-generic-left-right-inthemiddle… has its place. And so many a drop of something deliberate, over many a year, in many a tale…. will add up to something substantial.
The Drop will be a collage of “European Union Related Stories” the main purpose of which is to facilitate a more engaged and happier European Union public. Over the next six months, the first season of the Drop will unfold. There are no set dates or schedule, its early days.. and before serial content production can be achieved, habits must form: first crawl, then walk, then run. The first season is a Pilot in a very broad sense of the word, therefore: the form, scope, and frequency of modes will be explorative.
Formats include:
– Medium length narrated videos/documentaries (up to 20 minutes)
– Youtube Shorts
– European News Commentary
– Music (videos)
– Vodcasts
