How often do we take the time to explore new music, and especially, music from other countries in Europe? Myself, every now and then. It can’t be contained, I have an appetite for all things new and curiousity makes me browse new vibes often.
The reason I make a point of this, language is a barrier for some people when exploring new music. Howver, I learned with time that words can be a fantastic aspect of a song, but they can also ruin it.. whereas a vibe is undeniable always. Frankly, I don’t hear much text when listening to music, I hear emotion, sophistication, thought, playfulness, sex, and so on. If you are more selective, and really need to understand what someone is talking about, I get you! But then, perhaps approach what I offer (playlist below) as background music. Just put it on, forget about it for a second and you might find yourself vibing to Reanny.. a Dutch rap queen giving her take on something to do with expensive bags.
So, in that spirit here’s a selection of 21 tracks from all over Europe arranged by your one and only. There’s a balance between happy, moody, groovy, jazzy, heck it’s all over the place really.. and I like all of it. Most tracks are quite recent, but one is decades old.
