Apologies
Hi everyone,
First of all, I am sorry. The website was going to be ‘operational’ on the 18th of April. It is now well over a month later, and as you can see.. I’m still serving y’all a big ol’ nothin’ burger. A very solid niente.. nada… ništa.. niks.
I apologize to those of you who came by to see the first content, and even more so to those who I interviewed and have spoken with in the course of the last few weeks. The “Palestine encampement” report that was shot at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen will be published, but more footage and interviews are necessary to make the item solid. All the other interviews and shots I’ve done in the course of the last two months will be published at due time.
So, I ask for your patience! In regards to the Palestine report, I was happy to see that the ICC has applied for an arrest warrent just the other day. That, I believe, is the ever so needed grain of insight showing us that some aspects of the “international law and order system” are in fact functional.
In each case, to come back to being late, judging by the amount of total page visits, my apologies are aimed at a very select group of people. So, for my own peace of mind, the damage is limited and I will just keep working on good content and post as soon as possible.
What’s happening anyway?
A lot. To sum it up: investment, learning, practice, strategizing, projects.
In the past few months I have done much research and invested both time and capital in gear/software/access/knowledge necessary to:
– shoot and edit professional grade videos
– make and record music
– build and maintain a semi-professional website
– publish and receive royalties for music
– act with press credentials
– have a optimized multifunctional office/studio
– run a business
And much more. Played a lot of music, shot a lot of footage, played with different concepts for the framework of the company. But the majority of the time was spent figuring out how in the world to understand and use all the equipment needed to create the initial content. I have transformed my attic into a semi professional studio for hosting podcasts, recording and editing videos and music. Within this year, the studio will have a small stage for intimate musical performances, and it will serve other ad-hoc purposes I am sure.
Time flies. The hours spent learning about DAW’s, DaVinci, Elementor, camera’s and lenses, microphones, speakers, and so on… the hours are real. It’s a grind, and I have a limited load-capacity.
For those who don’t know me, a short recap… Last summer I was rated ‘60% fit enough’ to work as a teacher (which is no longer my job, but at the time it was the profile I was screened for). There’s a cap on how much I can work and it\s set at 30 hours per week. And that, unfortunately, still holds true, Add to that some specific caps on what exactly I can do within that time, mainly… not too much pressure… And you essentially have a turtle (me) driving a Porsche (running a media company). My chosen occupation is very dynamic, fast-pace, deep, and it necessitates a thorough approach. It takes time.
To help move things forward, I also hired a coach to help allign my professional and private activities in a more sustainable way. Becoming a business owner while still dealing with instable mental health, a host of dysfunctional attitudes and behaviours, being a dad, husband… It is a process.
I’m taking a risk. In fact we all are, as a family. This must be done sustainably.
Thank you.
Thank you for being patient. The work is coming. The “burnout, neurodivergent, traumatized, and perplexingly obstinate” individual that I am is also dead set on doing this. Every aspect of me believes in what I am doing, and that’s why I will ultimately get the most out of it. God willing, sooner than later.
Now.. if you send me a message every now and then, asking about the whole thing, you’re going to make me very happy. In this phase, I am spending a lot of time alone. And it is awesome, until it’s not. So, do root for me explicitly 🙂
Finally, special thanks goes out to my darling dear Nientje. I love you. We are going to make it.
Loutje <3
Cheers.
Stanko
